Hilda’s Brownies

Desserts, Recipes

IMG_2234

These won’t taste like your traditional brownies..so don’t expect the same taste…for obvious reasons…like the oil, eggs, and sugar that go into the original stuff. These are much and i mean MUCH healthier…and every single ingredient in this “brownie” is clean,  and very beneficial to your body.

These are my version of chocolaty goodness that satisfies the sweet tooth. I eat these for a snack, or dessert with homemade banana ice cream. When i originally made these, i made the 3 ingredient version, but i found that it needed some umph! So i added oat flour, and it tastes more like a cake brownie.

Yields 12 brownie’s

INGREDIENTS:

3 bananas (mashed)

1/2 cup almond butter

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup oats (blended into flour)

2 tsp baking powder

DIRECTIONS:

I start off by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F, and spraying a 9×9 brownie pan with cooking spray.

I then put 1/2 cup of rolled oats in a blender and adding in the baking powder until it’s well combined and like flour and set aside.

In a separate bowl I blend  (with a hand blender) or mash 3 bananas with the cocoa powder until creamy chocolaty goodness and then set aside.

I microwave the 1/2 cup of almond butter in a microwave safe cup, and then pour that to my banana/ chocolate mixture, and then i add the dry ingredients (oat flour and baking powder mix).

I pour into the 9×9 baking dish, and heat at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean, and slice into 12.

Enjoy!
